CLINICAL FOCUS AREAS:
Sex therapy | trauma | anxiety

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) through AASECT with over 15 years of experience working in mental health.  I pursued a counseling career because I enjoy witnessing growth and helping people feel fully alive.  Throughout my career I’ve worked in several different mental health settings so I have training and experience with a multitude of issues.  My clients often experience anxiety at work or in relationships, struggles with sex and intimacy including low desire or sexless relationships, persistent emotional pain from the past, and navigating life transitions.

Therapy works best if there is a good fit between the client and the therapist.  I keep that top of mind throughout the process to ensure emotional safety and effectiveness. With a collaborative approach we can figure out what the current issues are, the barriers that are keeping you stuck, and how to best move forward.  I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), sex therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies.

I love what I do. If you’re thinking about starting therapy, please reach out! I hope to help you elevate your life!

clinical focus areas:
solution-focused brief therapy | habit change | anxiety

Sometimes we can get frustrated when we are trying to break or form certain habits. My clients are typically looking for pragmatic solutions for life concerns. I help people identify and change what’s not working in their life. A good fit with me would be those who tend to experience a lot of overthinking and worry, feeling uneasy throughout the day, and struggles with time management; they also experience sadness and difficulty with daily routines.

My approach is rooted in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy where I work collaboratively with you to identify your strengths and develop practical strategies for achieving your goals. With a background in CBT and mindfulness techniques, I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts/ emotions leading to lasting positive change.

clinical focus areas:
Out-of-control sexual behavior/sex addiction | dance-movement therapy

My ideal client might struggle to claim who they are and express themselves. This client might be accustomed to running away from themselves and life, numbing out with behaviors like restricting/binging food, substances, sexual acting out, pornography, compulsive spending, excessive exercise or seeking a partner to be the solution. I would love to help you stop avoiding yourself and release the illusion of control that these behaviors offer, to shift gracefully into the swing of life as an authentic you. I work well with those who are seeking spirituality, improved connections, body acceptance and relief from trauma symptoms.

I offer gentle support in finding your own motivation to change. I have expertise in assisting those who have trouble connecting with themselves and in turn other people. I am well-versed in movement therapy techniques that offer a bottom-up approach to trauma symptoms for those who haven't seen change with traditional talk therapy.

I look forward to standing beside you as you unravel all that doesn't serve you to step forward into your brightest version!

clinical focus areas:
ADHD | anxiety

The clients that I work with often find themselves struggling with follow-through, low self-esteem or having a lack of focus that is impacting their wellbeing and relationships. My clients may experience being frustrated with themselves and find themselves thinking negative thoughts such as “I should be able to do this."

I utilize CBT and DBT in addition to other forms of treatment. I have experience working with many different populations. Some of my clients that have either been diagnosed with ADHD or have general difficulty with focusing during sessions. I also see clients who have mood disorders such as forms of anxiety, depression and those who struggle with anger.

I thrive on finding individualized approaches for providing therapy to clients. As each client is a different person with different needs; I try to keep my approach flexible by first getting to know clients then working together with them to find what interventions will work best for them personally.
