In person & telehealth

ELC is currently offering in-person and telehealth appointments. We use a HIPAA compliant telehealth video platform to ensure privacy and confidentiality. ELC providers are able to create a warm, attentive, and effective environment for therapy to take place inside and outside of the office.  Telehealth is a convenient and sometimes ideal way to engage in therapy. Others prefer to see us in-person and that’s fine, too!

If you have any questions or concerns prior to starting therapy during this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

couples therapy

Being in a relationship has the capacity to offer us our highest highs and our lowest lows. If you are struggling in your relationship, couples therapy provides a consistent space to effectively work through either current crises or longstanding issues. At ELC we help couples who may be struggling with their sex life, including not having sex or differences in desire to have sex. We also help couples change relationship patterns when they are fighting frequently or withdrawing from each other.

EMDR therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.  When we experience trauma and neglect or have been hurt in some way, we can still carry sensitivity around those issues even decades later.  We may hold on to beliefs like "I'm worthless," "I'm not safe," "I'm a failure," or "there's something wrong with me."  While we know these are not facts, they feel true to us.

EMDR uses eye movement to help change distorted beliefs we hold on to as well as allows us to think about painful events with less emotionality.

People often report that EMDR accomplishes years of therapy in a handful of sessions.

EMDR is recognized as one of the best approaches for trauma therapy. Research shows it is also effective in treating a myriad of other things including:

- Trauma

- Phobias

- Adjustment to health issues

- Unresolved feelings about one’s past

- Anxiety
